How can TREK consulting, LLC assist you in your business?

Jason spent the bulk of his 18 year career before Trek Consulting. LLC designing, launching, and supporting thermoplastic pipe fusion machines at the predominant US manufacturer for this type of equipment. 

This work uniquely equipped him to assist in a variety of business contexts.  

His portfolio of fusion testing and consulting projects covers HDPE, PVC, PA, and PP fusion mechanical testing, fusion procedure development & verification, fusibility verification of new materials and pipes, and general R&D.   Jason performed or supervised much of the fusion and short term mechanical testing (tensile with impact and guided side bend)done for the 2006 and 2012 revisions of PPI TR-33.

Jason consulted on his employer's behalf with a number of companies who wanted proactive resolution of joining questions arising on their jobsites.  In one example, he served as a neutral third party and developed data to satisfy concerns raised regarding joining process records with unexplained features.  

He has extensive experience with failure analysis of field joints, including joining process defects, fusibility verification, creep regime failures of fusion joints, and oxidative failure.  He has worked with clients at all stages of failure investigations, from fact-finding and  process improvement recommendations, to site visits and litigation or mediation support.

As a 9 year member of ASTM F17, past chairman of subcommittee F17.20 on Joining of Plastic Pipes  and 3-time F17 special service awardee, Jason knows the consensus standards development process, people, and organizational interests involved. He has participated in numerous task groups and was the chair of the task group that authored ASTM F2634, a fusion joint laboratory test method under the jurisdiction of F17.40.

As a past expert for ISO/TC 138/SC 4/WG 6 he has participated in multiple international meetings in the US delegation and has also contributed behind the scenes to fusion equipment andjoining procedure standards (ISO 12167, ISO21307, SHP procedure)

He has extensive experience in all aspects of product development, from field research, conceptual design, prototyping, product safety, product launch, site operations and field support.
